Meet Deborah Tierney-Walker

I'm Deborah Tierney-Walker, founder of Tierney-Walker Bookkeeping.
My professional background spans education, business operations, organizational leadership and financial management. I hold an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business, and I've spent years helping organizations strengthen their systems, improve their processes and make better use of their resources.
That experience shapes how I approach bookkeeping today.
I understand that financial challenges rarely exist in isolation. They're often connected to how a business operates: how payments are collected, how expenses are tracked, how work is priced and how decisions are made.
That's why I look beyond the transactions to understand the business behind them.
I'm naturally drawn to making sense of complicated information, identifying opportunities for improvement and creating practical systems that make people's work easier.
And I believe business owners should feel empowered by their financial information, not intimidated by it.
